As this is a TCG, there are a lot of different cards players can get. Cards come in different rarities, from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and a select few Artifact cards.

There are different types of cards in the game, which are important to know about when creating a deck.

Heroes are essential to play the game.

All players will need to select an equal number of heroes to play with, between 3-4 heroes each. 3 for 1v1 play, and 4 for 2v2 play.
There are 6 different classes of heroes, and each class has access to unique spells or abilities and items they can use.
For each class, there are 5-7 unique heroes to choose from. All heroes have a special ability or trait that makes them stand out.

Be sure to combine heroes and classes so your party can handle most situations and deal melee damage and ranged damage, and don’t forget Healers, they can be the difference between life and death, literally!

Most items can be used by multiple classes, a few of them are restricted to only one class.

The item cards are hidden at the start of the game when both players reveal their heroes to each other, it’s only when a hero performs an action where the item affects the action, that the player needs to show their item card for the specific hero.

Before the game starts each player places their item card backside up, below each of their hero cards on the table, so it is hidden from the other player. The rest of the deck gets shuffled and placed on the table.

These cards make out the majority of your deck.
Your deck needs to have a minimum of 14 action cards for each hero you control. Duplicate cards are allowed up to 3 of a specific card. Try to balance out the amount of offensive, defensive, and support cards for each hero, so they are equipped to handle different situations.

These are unique cards, which can only be cast by the player, and not by a hero, which all other cards are.
Arcane cards are the most powerful cards in the game, and a deck is limited to only have 4 Arcane cards in them.
